"My wife and I own a 21 month old
American Bulldog named Nekko. Right now he is 121 pounds
and would be a big problem had we not done obedience
training for him when he was young. We called several
places that offered classes before we found Frank. We
were impressed with the knowledge and experience he had
in not only dog training, but also dog behavior. We
chose Frank because he offered a one-on-one personal
training class for us and our dog. When he worked with Nekko he demonstrated and explained to us everything he
was doing. That was important so we would be able to
train with him on our own and do it correctly. He also
worked with Nekko on some protection training and was
very positive with him. It helped Nekko be more
confident but at the same time be very obedient. We love
our dog and would not trust just anyone with him. Frank
cares about the dogs he trains and takes great pride in
his work. That's a quality that is getting hard to come
by and we wouldn't go to anyone else for dog training."

"We have used Precision K-9
frequently throughout the past year and a half to train,
as well as board, our Belgian Malinois. At our first
meeting with Precision K-9 Robby was 13mos. old. As a
rescue animal Robby had little training and we were
uncertain of his background but to my amazement Frank
and Robby shared an uncanny bond almost immediately and
Frank’s assessment of Robby’s underlying personality was
Robby has attended Precision K-9 for the initial
extended training program, “Doggie Training Camp,” for
basic obedience training as well as weekend boarding for
additional training. The facilities are clean and well
kept, and Robby is always excited to see Frank again.
Frank has also worked with Robby at home to correct
specific behaviors like leaving the yard without
permission and pool safety. (Imagine my surprise when
Frank hopped into the pool with Robby so that Robby
could overcome his anxiety of the pool.)
Both Frank and Jenna have gone out of their way to
accommodate our family’s specific goals for Robby while
maintaining their enthusiastic and professional approach
to training. It is absolutely without reservation that I
would recommend Precision K-9."

"I first met Frank Cowen in Feb '10
when I took my 2 young, male, American Bulldogs to him
for training. I wanted to get them started in the
protection dog sport of French Ring. These dogs aren't
the best breed for protection dog sports and certainly
not for French Ring. It’s a huge challenge but in just
over a year, Frank has helped me by training both of
these dogs to where they will both obtain the entry
level title of French Ring Brevet in the fall of 2011.
Frank has made what I thought was going to be a very
difficult endeavor relatively easy. This is a time
consuming sport but the techniques and methods that
Frank uses and has taught me have made it easy for the
dogs and I to learn. He's always willing to explain
things in detail as well as, demonstrate them. This is a
difference to my previous experiences with dog trainers,
some of whom would get annoyed for simply asking a
question. He's a true professional. Another aspect that
sets Frank apart from the others is that he truly cares
about the dogs. Frank's years of experience have given
him a true sense of not only knowing why a dog is
exhibiting a certain behavior but a real understanding
of all breeds of dogs.
I would recommend Frank and his services to anyone, with
any breed of dog, of any age, who's looking a
"I was referred to Frankie by a
friend after spending thousands of dollars on previous
trainers and having unsuccessful results. I’ve had my
dog Bubs for almost four years now. I got him as a puppy
and at around six months old noticed he was nervous and
sometimes showed aggression towards strangers or other
dogs. I tried several trainers, books, talking to vets,
etc without any decent results.
I was a little nervous meeting Frankie with Bubs as I
wasn’t sure how Bubs would react. From the moment I took
Bubs to Frankie’s house for our initial meeting
(sometimes the most nerve racking part in finding a
trainer) I was at ease. I saw the way Frankie acted
around Bubs which instantly helped both Bubs and I
relax. He has the ability to sense exactly what’s going
on with the dogs mind. Also, their training and boarding
facility is immaculate!
I agreed to do an on-leash package with Frankie which
started out at his house and we eventually made our way
to public places. Frankie does a great job at explaining
what I was doing wrong and how to fix it. When I would
get frustrated during a training session Frankie would
take over the leash and show me that Bubs really can
listen and obey if the technique is done correctly.
Seeing Frankie work Bubs gave us so much motivation to
know what the results could be.
After the on-leash training we moved to e-collar
training. Frankie answered all my questions regarding
what results to expect and how the collar will benefit
Bubs’ nervousness. We boarded Bubs for just over three
weeks. One of the nicest parts about being away from
Bubs for this long time was that Frankie would text/call
with updates and pictures throughout the training
process. This was absolutely awesome! When picking him
up we were so pleased with the results. We couldn’t wait
to get home and begin the training ourselves.
Even after we had paid for the training and had
questions, Frankie and Jenna were very approachable and
nearly always available to talk. They always return my
calls/texts even to this day. If I hadn’t found Frankie
I would have most likely been forced to get rid of Bubs.
He’s made owning a dog fun again and has allowed us to
give Bubs the quality of life he deserves. We now enjoy
taking Bubs to a quiet park for off leash walks knowing
we have complete control over him."

received Rosebud, a yellow lab, for Christmas in 2009.
Immediately, we recognized that Rosebud was very smart
and energetic. We started puppy training with one
company. They came to the house and spent time we us.
When they were done they offered follow-up training, but
we had to go to them. Rosebud was good, but my wife had
problems controlling her. We found another company who
came to the house, but again my wife still had trouble
controlling her. We were at our wits end and seriously
thinking about getting rid of Rosebud because she was
too much for us to handle along with two kids.
Then we found
Precision K-9. We explained our situation and Frank
immediately identified the problem. He developed a plan
with a solution and assured us it would work. We turned
over Rosebud to Precision K-9 and eagerly awaited the
results. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw how
things turned out. Rosebud was a different dog. She
not only listens to my wife, but also my daughter.
Frank is always there for follow-up questions and to
help us as we advance our training with Rosebud.
Rosebud is a
pleasure to have around and we cannot thank Precision
K-9 enough for their success. To top it all off,
Precision K-9 is now the only place we use for boarding
because we have seen how much they care about our

I have the
BEST dog, thanks to YOU! My dog is perfect for us, and
you sure do know how to pick them!
remember the day that you got down on your hands and
knees and observed the six week old puppies to see which
puppy would fit our needs. You, obviously, were right
on the mark! He is perfect!
Shepherd has the greatest disposition. He walks on the
street and is the friendliest dog. People stop and pet
him all the time. He has even licked babies’ toes and
hands. Thanks to YOU, he is wonderful!
is superb. When I say anything, he reacts immediately.
I am always in control and he is aware of this, due to
your diligent training.
has always been very accurate. Because of you, some of
the health problems that we have had in the past are
gone completely. You solved problems when my Vet
couldn’t. You are AMAZING!!
Since we are
his parents, we consider you his special relative, for
you treat him with care, kindness, and control, just as
a family member would treat their own.
When we go

excellent hands. We never worry about him. He is

We are so
appreciative that we have you in our lives and thank you
for all that you do.
How do you
know you have the best trainer in the state? When your
dogs go racing toward Frank when it's time for a lesson!
After having Precision K9 Plus highly recommended to us,
we sent our 3 dogs, a Blue Heeler and two very stubborn
Yorkshire Terriers, to Frank for training. . From the
consultation in our home, we knew immediately Frank was
going to change our lives.
"Roo," went for the 6 week program at 9 months old.
Frank took our great dog and made her an AMAZING dog. We
have the most obedient, perfect pup you ever did see.
Heelers, in general, want to work for you, but to see
our girl heel at our side, looking up at us waiting for
her next command, is a dream dog we never thought we
would have. Our Yorkies went for 3 weeks and finally, oh
thank Frankie, finally, they listen to "sit, down, stay
even having the perfectly trained dogs, Frank is the
BEST at training we humans, which is actually probably
the hard part. He is so kind, calm, and supportive, he
answers questions and concerns with the patience of a
Saint, he responds quickly to messages left, and
inevitably, an issue or question will arise you need him
for. The lessons he comes to give in your house after
the training are simply wonderful. He has also given
lessons to our children because it's important the dogs
listen to every member of the family. (The patience of
a Saint, I tell you!)
outstanding is it when people walking their dogs stop in
their tracks to look at YOUR dog and say, "wow..that's
an unbelievably well trained dog!" Frank has a gift and
we are so fortunate he is sharing that gift with us.
Frank is better than that guy on TV because Frank is
real, he's here, he can and will train YOUR dog, and he
is way more talented.

My wife and I were introduced to Frank several years ago
when we first got our Rottweiler puppy, Zeus. Since then
we have seen Frank transfer Zeus from an out of control
puppy into an obedient and well disciplined adult dog.
He was even recently able to help Zeus obtain an
American Street Ring title on 2 days notice and we had
not even trained for the event in over 6 months.
Along the way we have seen Frank do amazing things with
every other dog we have ever seen him train. He can
literally take a dog that is aggressive or does not
listen to their owner at all and have him looking like a
show dog within minutes. It is amazing. The famous Dog
Whisperer on TV can't even compare to Frank, he should
be the one with a TV show. I would HIGHLY recommend
Frank to anyone with any breed of

I own and operate a Lawn and Landscape
business. In January of 2008, I had one of my trailers
broken into and lost many thousands of dollars worth of
equipment. In Feb. 2008, I purchased a 9 week old
German Shepherd puppy from a private breeder. I had no
idea what I was going to do to train the dog but was
interested in a personal protection program. I met
Frank and after evaluating my puppy asked me what I
wanted to accomplish, as I needed a tailored program to
fit my lifestyle with kids, family ect. Frank explained
to me what to expect and told me up front that my
commitment would be the difference.
I am still a client and see Frank every
week. I now am the proud owner of a Personal Protection
dog that is social, well adjusted with a great
temperament. Everything he has told me to expect has
come into focus before my eyes. I have a wonderful
relationship with my dog and she will obey when in
social situations and protect when necessary or when
told to do so.
Owning this type of dog has been a great
experience for me and I would encourage anyone to use
You are short changing yourself and your
